All right, we did it!

We’ve moved through the blind tasting guide.

You now have a deeper understanding of the process.

You know how to identify benchmark clues and patterns.

You can use those clues to support your process of elimination.

You now recognize benchmark markers for varieties like Merlot and Nebbiolo.

And you have key details you can start recording for other grapes, too.

Now you’re ready for the practice phase.

That means recording notes and tasting consistently.

And for that, I have a tool for you.

Over the years, I’ve taken notes on specific varieties as I learned to taste.

But I kept those notes in different notebooks.

They ended up scattered in different places.

I never had one consistent home for variety information.

So I knew there had to be a better system.

That’s why I created my variety frameworks.

They give you a dedicated place to put your notes after every tasting.

So you can consolidate key information in one spot.

These frameworks include all the classic exam varieties.

They also include additional varieties beyond the classics.

So no matter what you’re tasting, you have a page to return to.

You can write your notes down immediately.

And over time, consistent tasting helps patterns become clear.

That’s what builds real blind tasting confidence.

These frameworks have helped me because they helped me build a general profile for each variety.

And I want you to be able to do that, too.

They include benchmarks aligned with exam standards.

But they also leave plenty of space for your personal notes.

Over time, you build a variety profile that includes sight clues.

Aroma clues.

Taste clues.

Structure clues.

And regional markers that help you recognize style differences.

There’s room for all of your learning.

These frameworks have given me a lot more confidence during the tasting process.

And I want that for you, too.

As a thank you for completing this mini course, I’m offering them to you at a great deal below.

They’re an essential companion for building your variety library.

And they’ll help you improve in every tasting setting.

Whatever the case, keep tasting.

Keep taking notes.

Keep noticing patterns.

You got this!

🥂 Congratulations! 🥂
